Instrument Panel - Standard: Testing: Ammeter

Turn headlights on (DO NOT  start engine). Ammeter needle should move toward the "D" position. If needle does not move, check terminals for loose wires. If terminals are secure, ammeter is defective. If needle moves toward the "C" position, the connections are reversed.
