Removal & Installation: Notes

Before beginning any unit removal/replacement procedures on a turbocharging system, several general cautions should be considered.

• Clean area around the turbocharger with non-caustic solution before disassembly.
• Use extreme care during removal/replacement to avoid damaging the turbine blades. Any damage may result in the turbocharger failure when the engine is started.
