Cold Dr13A - Basic Ignition Timing

  1. Connect tachometer and power timing light to engine. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at distributor. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Check that idle speed is within 100 RPM of specification. Adjust if necessary.
  2. Ignition timing should be within 2° of specification shown on emission label. If so, proceed to next test. If timing is not within proper range, adjust as necessary.
