Removal Procedure

  1. Liftgate - Open
  2. Battery Negative Cable - Disconnect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection And Connection

    Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover (1) - Remove

  4. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) - Remove
  5. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) - Remove
  6. Disconnect The Electrical Connector.

    Rear Window Wiper Blade (1) - Remove

    Rear Window Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Remove

    Rear Window Wiper Arm Nut (1) - Remove

    Rear Window Wiper Arm (1) - Remove

    Rear Window Wiper Motor Bolt (1) - Remove [3X]

  12. Disconnect All Electrical Connectors.
  13. Rear Window Wiper Motor (2) - Remove
  14. Rear Window Wiper Motor Grommet - Remove

    Use The Appropriate Trim Tool To Release The Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) From The Liftgate Inner Panel.

  16. Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) - Remove

    Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel - Left Side And Right Side (1) - Remove [2X]

    Rear Window Washer Nozzle Hose (1) - Disconnect

  19. Disconnect The Electrical Connector.
  20. Rear End Spoiler Nut (2) - Remove [6X]
  21. Rear End Spoiler Bolt (3) - Remove [6X]

    Rear End Spoiler (1) - Remove

  23. Disconnect The Rear Window Grid Electrical Connectors.
  24. Cover To Protect The Following Parts From Broken Glass:
    • Seats And Carpeting
  25. Using The Appropriate Tool, Carefully Cut Around The Lace, Start In The Center Working From Side To Side Of The Window To Access The Urethane Adhesive Bead, If Equipped.

    NOTE:

    Keep The Cutting Edge Of The Tool Against The Window.

    This Will Allow The Urethane Adhesive To Be Separated From The Window.

    • Leave A Base Of Urethane On The Pinchweld Flange.
    • The Only Suitable Lubrication Is Clear Water.
    • Bo-24402-A  Glass Sealant Remover (Cold Knife).
    • Use Commercially Available Glass Cutting Tool.

    With The Aid Of An Assistant Lift The Rear Window (1) And Locating Pin (2) From Vehicle.
