Automatic Level Trim Height Learn
The Automatic Level Trim Height Learn should be performed in any of the following scenarios:
- Air spring replaced
- A Suspension Position Sensor and/or bracket replaced or moved
- K5 Automatic Level Control Module replacement
- Control arm that the Suspension Position Sensor is attached to is removed
- Battery voltage must be between 9 - 15.5 V and ignition on with engine off to run procedure.
- Vehicle ride height must be within specification to complete procedure successfully. Refer to: Trim Height Inspection , and Trim Height Specifications
- When entering trim height in millimeters, it must be entered as 4 digits (e.g. 0959 millimeters).
- Connect a scan tool and check the K5 Automatic Level Control Module for any DTCs and perform repairs as necessary.
- Remove any excess weight from vehicle.
- Place vehicle on a flat surface and set tire pressure to specification.
- Select Control Functions. Equalize the front axle and rear axle.
- Select Configuration/Reset Functions
- Measure the distance between the fender, through the center cap, to the floor in millimeters for each corner.
- Select Trim Height Settings and follow the on screen instructions to enter measurements.
- Select Level Vehicle to Ride Target Height, select Normal Ride Height.

System will sometimes not re-level if it is already in range. If this happens, adjust one level up or down, and back to normal ride height.
