Circuit/System Verification

CAUTION:

Do NOT plug-in/charge HV Battery above 30% until severe 12V Battery drain issue is resolved. Thermal runaway protection will not be available if the 12V battery is completely drained. Limiting the HV Battery state of charge to 30% reduces the risk of a thermal runaway event causing vehicle damage.

  1. Verify the presence of a parasitic drain. Refer to: Battery Electrical Drain/Parasitic Load Test 
    • If an excessive parasitic drain is found 
  2. Repair as necessary.
    • Go to next step: If an excessive parasitic drain is NOT found 
  3. A fault is not currently present, and may be an intermittent condition.
