Circuit/System Testing

  1. Vehicle Power Mode state - OFF 
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: X1 @ K219 Lighting Control Module
  3. Starting with the affected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly disconnect one Headlamp/Stop lamp connector at time while perform the following test.
  4. Test for infinite resistance between K219 Lighting Control Module connector X5 terminal 16 and ground.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Repair the short to ground on the circuit: 11369.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  5. Reconnect the harness connectors at the K219 lighting control module while leaving the Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected.
  6. Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run 
  7. NOTE:

    Additional DTC(s) will set with the Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  8. Verify DTC U1015 is not set
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      K219 Lighting Control Module - Replace

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  9. Vehicle Power Mode state - OFF 
  10. Connect one Headlamp/Stop lamp connector while leaving the other Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected.
  11. Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run 
  12. NOTE:

    Additional DTC(s) will set with the Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  13. Verify DTC U1015 is not set
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      Replace the connected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly that sets the DTC.

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  14. Replace the disconnected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly.
