Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle Power Mode state - OFF
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X1 @ K219 Lighting Control Module
- Starting with the affected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly disconnect one Headlamp/Stop lamp connector at time while perform the following test.
- Test for infinite resistance between K219 Lighting Control Module connector X5 terminal 16 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit: 11369.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Reconnect the harness connectors at the K219 lighting control module while leaving the Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected.
- Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run
- Verify DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
K219 Lighting Control Module - Replace
- Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
- Vehicle Power Mode state - OFF
- Connect one Headlamp/Stop lamp connector while leaving the other Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected.
- Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run
- Verify DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
Replace the connected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly that sets the DTC.
- Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
- Replace the disconnected Headlamp/Stop lamp assembly.
NOTE:
Additional DTC(s) will set with the Headlamp/Stop lamp connectors disconnected during testing.
