Installation Procedure

    Place the front side door window (1) into the door frame.

  2. Place the front side door window in the full up position and tape in place.

    Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer (2) - Install

  4. If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    The thread locking adhesive is to be applied to the studs on the front side door window regulator (2).

    If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:

    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  7. Front Side Door Window Regulator (2) - Install
  8. Front Side Door Window Regulator Nut (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications 
  9. Connect the electrical connector.

    Place the window regulator sash retainers (1) in the full up position.

    Remove the tape holding the front side door window (1) in the full up position.

    Install the sealing strip (1) to the flange of the door and push downward until fully seated.

    Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique (1) - Install

    Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 

  16. Install the rear edge of rear side door window weatherstrip.

    Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding (1) - Install

    Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Spray the front side door weatherstrip with a suitable lubricant to assist in sliding the front side door upper reveal molding (1) down the center of the weatherstrip.

  20. Front Side Door Window Upper Reveal Molding (1) - Install

    Front Side Door Water Deflector (1) - Install

    Front Side Door Armrest Bracket (2) - Install

  23. Front Side Door Armrest Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Ensure that the door weatherstrip is not trapped below the front side door window garnish molding (2) once completely installed. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

    Front Side Door Window Garnish Molding (2) - Install

  25. Front Side Door Window Garnish Molding Retainer (1) - Install [2x]
  26. Front Side Door Trim - Install - Front Side Door Trim Removal and Installation
  27. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  28. Ensure the window system operates properly.
