Removal Procedure

  1. Remove underbody panels as necessary. Underbody Panel Component Locator
  2. Rear Wheelhouse Panel Front Liner - Remove - Rear Wheelhouse Panel Front Liner Replacement
  3. Rear Wheelhouse Panel Rear Liner - Remove - Rear Wheelhouse Panel Rear Liner Replacement
  4. Drain the drive motor battery cooling system. Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling
  5. Disable the high voltage system. High Voltage Disabling

    Position the accessory power receptacle door (1) to the full open position.

  7. Using a trim type tool, release the retainers on the accessory power receptacle door (1) and separate it from housing.

    Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces.

  9. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
  10. Charge Port Housing (1) - Remove
  11. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Retainer (1) - Disengage [2x]

  13. Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Coolant Inlet Hose (2) - Disconnect [2x]

    Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (1) - Remove

    Retainer (1) - Disconnect [3x]

    Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

    NOTE:

    Disconnecting high voltage connectors and testing for voltage MUST be performed during the high voltage disabling procedure but, for graphic clarity, the high voltage connector(s) are shown still connected.

    Disconnect the high voltage electrical connector and release the wiring harness retainers as necessary. (1, 2) High Voltage Connectors

    Retainer (1) - Disconnect [4x]

    NOTE:

  22. Drive Motor Battery Charger Bolt (2) - Remove

    Retainer (1) - Disconnect [3x]

    Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Bolt (1) - Remove

  25. Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Nut (2) - Remove
  26. Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Coolant Inlet Hose Bracket Reposition

    Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Nut (1) - Remove [4x]

    Drive Motor Battery Coolant Flow Control Valve Rear Hose Clip Bolt (1) - Remove
