Component Testing

    NOTE:

    Circuit/System Testing must be performed before proceeding with Component Testing.

    NOTE:

    The following tests are to be performed on the X98 Battery Charger Coupler not the harness connector.

  1. Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run 
  2. Ensure the Battery Charger Coupler Lock is in the UNLOCKED position.
  3. Test for 900 to 1100 ohms between the test points: The appropriate signal circuit terminal & The appropriate low reference circuit terminal
    • If not within specified range 

      Replace the component: X98 Battery Charger Coupler

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  4. Connect the electrical connector: X98 Battery Charger Coupler
  5. Vehicle Power Mode state - Service/Run 
  6. Monitor the scan tool parameter: Battery Charger Coupler Lock - Locked
  7. Ensure the Battery Charger Coupler Lock is in the LOCKED position.
  8. Vehicle Power Mode state - OFF 
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector: X98 Battery Charger Coupler
  10. Test for 10400 to 11600 ohms between the test points: The appropriate signal circuit terminal & The appropriate low reference circuit terminal
    • If not within specified range 

      Replace the component: X98 Battery Charger Coupler

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  11. All OK.
