Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Install a NEW seal.

    Engine Oil Cooler Seal (3) - Install

  2. Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Install
  3. Engine Oil Cooler Core Bolt (1) - Hand tighten

    Engine Oil Cooler Hose Clamp (2) - Engage [ 2x ] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Fastener (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Ensure that the engine oil cooler locating tab (1) is positioned against the engine block.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Engine Oil Cooler Core Bolt (1) - Tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

  8. Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Heat Shield - Install -
  9. Change the engine oil and filter.
  10. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
