Removal Procedure

    Windshield Wiper Arm (3) - Remove [ 2x ]

    1. Using the appropriate trim tool, remove the windshield wiper arm finish cap (1) from the windshield wiper arm (3).
    2. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Remove
    3. Grasp the outer end of the windshield wiper arm (3) and gently rock the arm back and forth to remove it from the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft.

    Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension (1) - Remove [ 2x ]

    1. Apply two layers of masking tape around the top edge of the service part to prevent paint damage.
    2. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully release the air inlet grille panel extension clips.
    3. Remove the air inlet grille panel extension (1) from the air inlet grille panel and upper front fender.

    Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) - Remove [ 2x ]

    1. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) - Remove
    2. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) - Remove

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Remove

    1. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Remove [ 6x ]
    2. Disconnect the windshield washer nozzle hose from the windshield washer pump hose.
    3. Lift the front edge of the air inlet grille panel (2) and slide the panel forward from both hood hinges to remove.

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Remove

  6. NOTE:

    To prevent erroneous DTC's, disconnect the battery negative cable before disconnecting the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

  7. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

    Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

  9. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]
  10. Slide the windshield wiper system module (2) inboard to release the grommet from the plenum and remove the windshield wiper system module from the vehicle.

    Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Typical wiring harness shown. Individual wiring harnesses may differ based on option content.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1)

    Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

  16. Loosen the fastener and slide the bracket out of the keyhole slot. (1)

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [ 3x ]

    Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Remove [ 3x ]

  21. Unclip the harness from the instrument panel center air outlet duct.

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove

  39. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (2) - Remove [ 6x ]
  40. Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
  41. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel tie bar assembly.
  42. Support the HVAC module in order to prevent damage.

    With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel tie bar assembly from the vehicle. (1)

    Radio Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  45. Loosen the two radio bracket bolts (2), but do NOT remove.
  46. Remove the radio bracket (3) by sliding the bracket out of the keyhole slot.
