Installation Procedure
Rear Window (2) - Install - Adhesive Installation of Rear Windows
Slide the high mount stop lamp (1) into position.
Ensure the mounting tabs on the top of the high mount stop lamp (1) are aligned with the slots on the rear of the roof structure (2).
While holding in place, align the retaining tabs and secure the high mount stop lamp (1) with and forward upward motion.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
High Mount Stop Lamp Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [ 2x ] - Fastener Specifications
High Mount Stop Lamp Opening Cover (1) - Install
Apply pressure upward on the high mount stop lamp cover (1) to engage the retaining tabs.
- Ensure the retaining tabs have engaged and the high mount stop lamp cover (1) is fully seated to the headlining trim panel (2).
- Connect the defrost tab electrical connectors.
- Remove the tape.
- Remove any remaining adhesive residue with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water. Wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel.
Connect the electrical connector.
- Quarter Upper Trim Panel (3) - Install
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2)Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap - Install
Install the lower rear seat belt retractor bolt (1) on the side of the trim panel being replaced. Fastener Specifications
- Feed the rear seat belt retractor belt through the bezel opening in the quarter upper trim panel.
- Rear Seat Back Bolster (2) - Install
- Rear Seat Back Bolster Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Slide the rear seat back bolster retainer lock (1) toward the front of the vehicle.
Inspect each high retention retainer and sheet metal interface for flushness. Replace retainer as required if damage occurs during removal.
- When installing new plastic retainers on the front of the seat, ONLY seat the retainer to the first click, otherwise the insertion force into the sheet metal will be greatly increased.
- Rear Seat Cushion (1) - Install
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
