Removal Procedure
- Remove the fuel injection fuel rail assembly. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement
- Disconnect the 3 fuel rail wiring harness connectors at the direct fuel injectors.
Remove and discard the fuel injection fuel rail clip (1) and fuel injector locating pins (2).
- Remove the direct fuel injector (3).
- Repeat the steps to remove the remaining direct fuel injectors.
- CAUTION:
Do not use a metal tool to remove O-rings, spacers or injector seals. Care must be taken not to scratch or damage the tubes of the injector.
Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Seal (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Fuel Injector Seal Retainer - White (2) - Remove and DISCARD
- Fuel Injector Seal Retainer - Red (3) - Remove and DISCARD
- Fuel Injector Nozzle Housing Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Repeat the steps for the remaining direct fuel injectors.
