Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector at the appropriate X92 USB Receptacle. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
  2. Test for less than 10 Ω between the appropriate terminal and ground:
    • X92BCL USB Receptacle - 3rd Row Seat Left = Terminal 2
    • X92BCR USB Receptacle - 3rd Row Seat Right = Terminal 2
    • X92C USB Receptacle - Center Console Rear = Terminal 4
    • If greater than 10 Ω 

      Repair the open/high resistance on appropriate circuit or ground connection.

    • Go to next step: If less than 10 Ω 
  3. Ignition ON.
  4. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the appropriate terminal and ground:
    • X92BCL USB Receptacle - 3rd Row Seat Left = Terminal 1
    • X92BCR USB Receptacle - 3rd Row Seat Right = Terminal 1
    • X92C USB Receptacle - Center Console Rear = Terminal 6
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is good 
    1. Test circuit 4701 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • If an open/high resistance is not found, verify the fuse is not open and there is voltage at the fuse. Refer to Retained Accessory Power Malfunction .
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is open 
    1. Test circuit 4701 for a short to ground.
      • If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found.
    2. Replace the appropriate X92 USB Receptacle.
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates 
  5. Test or replace the appropriate X92 USB Receptacle.
