Spot Weld Removal / Mig/Mag Plug Weld Installation
NOTE:
If access to use STRSW is not possible, MIG/MAG 8 mm (5/16 in) plug welds must be used, to replace those specific welds.
- Remove spot weld (1) using 8 mm (5/16) drill bit.
- Prepare all joining surfaces for welding as necessary.
- Apply weld-thru coating or equivalent to all welding surfaces. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair
- Install MIG/MAG plug weld (2).
