Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Collision Sectioning Warning .

NOTE:

Left shown, right similar.

NOTE:

The center pillar inner panel is ultra high strength steel. ULTRA HIGH STRENGTH STEEL

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  3. Remove all related panels and components.
  4. Remove bodyside. Body Side Outer Panel Replacement (SWB) Body Side Outer Panel Replacement (LWB) , Body Side Outer Panel Sectioning (SWB) Body Side Outer Panel Sectioning (LWB) , or Center Pillar Sectioning 
  5. Remove center pillar outer panel reinforcement. Center Pillar Outer Panel Reinforcement Replacement 
  6. Remove the sealers and anti-corrosion materials from the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

  7. NOTE:

    Do not damage or cut attaching panels and reinforcements.

  8. Remove spot welds (1). [10x]

  11. Remove center pillar inner panel (1) from vehicle.
