Installation Procedure
Rear Sliding Window (1) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector.
If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
- Rear Sliding Window Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 12 N.m (106 lb in)
- Install the rear sliding window motor wire harness back to the original position.
Connect the rear sliding window motor electrical connector (1).
Rear Sliding Window Motor Cover (1) - Install
Folding Top Front Latch Stowage Striker (2) - Install [2x]
- Folding Top Front Latch Stowage Striker Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel (1) - Install [2x] - Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Coupe) , or Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Convertible)
- Perform the rear window normalization. Rear Window Normalization
- Water test and inspect for proper operation.
