Installation Procedure

    Rear Sliding Window (1) - Install

  2. Connect the electrical connector.

    If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:

    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
    4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Rear Sliding Window Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  6. Install the rear sliding window motor wire harness back to the original position.

    Connect the rear sliding window motor electrical connector (1).

    Rear Sliding Window Motor Cover (1) - Install

    Folding Top Front Latch Stowage Striker (2) - Install [2x]

  10. Folding Top Front Latch Stowage Striker Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 20 N.m (15 lb ft)

    Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel (1) - Install [2x] - Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Coupe) , or Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Replacement (Convertible)

  12. Perform the rear window normalization. Rear Window Normalization 
  13. Water test and inspect for proper operation.
