- Start the engine.
- Turn the air conditioning system off.
- Inspect the engine cooling fan(s).

- Diagnose and repair the cooling fan system. DTC P0494, P30EE, P30EF, or U0632 - Cooling Fan Malfunction (LTG/LGX with Y4Q) , or DTC P0480, P0494, P0691, P0692, P30EE, P30EF, or U0632 - Cooling Fan Malfunction (LGX without Y4Q) , or DTC P0494, P30EE, P30EF, or U0632 - Cooling Fan Malfunction (LT1/LT4)
- Verify the customer complaint.
Does the engine still fail to reach normal operating temperature? |

Install the Scan Tool to the DLC. Compare the Scan Tool coolant temperature reading to the I/P cluster coolant temperature. Is the I/P cluster coolant temperature close to the reading on the Scan Tool? |

- Diagnose and repair the coolant temperature gauge system.
- Verify the customer complaint.
Does the engine still fail to reach normal operating temperature? |
