Intermediate Steering Shaft Inner Boot Procedure
- Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position and centered.
- Lift the rubber lip of the intermediate steering shaft inner boot upward to reduce the friction when the intermediate steering shaft inner boot is rotated.
- Push the intermediate steering shaft inner boot and then rotate it about 45 degrees counterclockwise to release the lock.
- Remove the intermediate steering shaft inner boot from the steering gear.
- Position the intermediate steering shaft inner boot over the steering gear and on the dash panel. Ensure the lip on the seal is positioned correctly.
