1	Intermediate Steering Shaft Inner Boot Procedure Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position and centered. Lift the rubber lip of the intermediate steering shaft inner boot upward to reduce the friction when the intermediate steering shaft inner boot is rotated. Push the intermediate steering shaft inner boot and then rotate it about 45 degrees counterclockwise to release the lock. Remove the intermediate steering shaft inner boot from the steering gear. Position the intermediate steering shaft inner boot over the steering gear and on the dash panel. Ensure the lip on the seal is positioned correctly.

Intermediate Steering Shaft Inner Boot

Procedure

Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position and centered.
Lift the rubber lip of the intermediate steering shaft inner boot upward to reduce the friction when the intermediate steering shaft inner boot is rotated.
Push the intermediate steering shaft inner boot and then rotate it about 45 degrees counterclockwise to release the lock.
Remove the intermediate steering shaft inner boot from the steering gear.
Position the intermediate steering shaft inner boot over the steering gear and on the dash panel. Ensure the lip on the seal is positioned correctly.
