Removal Procedure
- Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
- Open the liftgate.
- Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel - Remove - Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Replacement
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Rear Window Wiper Motor - Remove - Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement
- Rear End Spoiler - Remove - Rear End Spoiler Replacement
- Cover the seats and carpeting to protect from broken glass.
- Use BO 39032
stationary glass removal tool.
- Leave a base of urethane on the pinchweld flange.
- The only suitable lubrication is clear water.
With an assistant, remove the locator pins (1) and rear window (2) from the vehicle.
WARNING:
Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning .
NOTE:
Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the rear window from inside the vehicle. This will allow the urethane adhesive to be separated from the window.
