Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Cadillac) , or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet) , or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (GMC)
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution
Battery Positive Cable Nut (1)@Starter Solenoid - Remove
- Generator Battery Control Wiring Harness (2) - Remove
- Electrical Connector (3) - Disconnect
Starter Heat Shield Fastener (1) - Remove
- Starter Heat Shield Fastener (2) - Remove [2x]
- Starter Heat Shield (3) - Remove
