Preliminary Procedure  Remove the rear closure center applique carrier. Refer to Rear Closure Center Applique Carrier Replacement . Disconnect the rear compartment lid release switch electrical connector
1	Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch Procedure  Press in the retainers on the sides of the switch (arrows) and press the rear compartment lid release switch out from the rear closure fixed handle applique.
