Installation Procedure

    If you are replacing the battery with a serviced NEW battery, detach the vent plug (1), that comes with the positive post cover.

    Install the vent plug (1), opposite side of the battery vent hose (2).

    Battery (4) - Install

  4. Battery Hold Down Retainer (3) - Install [2X]
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Battery Hold Down Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2X] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  6. Battery Vent Tube (1) - Install

    Rear Body Fuse Block (3) - Install

  8. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (2) - Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)
  9. Rear Body Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  11. Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe) , or Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) - Install
