Removal Procedure
- Identify how to disable high voltage.
- Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
- Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
- High Voltage Disabling
- Rear Compartment Floor Stowage Trim Compartment Replacement - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection - Disconnect
- Drain the cooling system. Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Cooling System Draining and Filling
Clamp(3, 5) - Loosen[2x] - BO-38185 pliers
- Coolant Hose - Remove[2x]
- Electrical Connector(2, 4) - Disconnect
- Remove the battery positive and negative cable nut (APM ground cable) (6).
- Remove the battery positive and negative cable nut (B+ APM Module to Battery Fuse Block) (7).
- Remove 2 the accessory dc power control module nuts (1).
- Remove the accessory dc power control module bolt (8).
- Remove the accessory dc power control module (9).
WARNING:
Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION:
Ensure the cooling system is drained, and hoses are removed prior to disconnecting any electrical connections. Failure to do this may result in damage to the electrical connectors or components. Any damaged electrical connectors or components must be replaced.
