Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Steering Column (1) - Remove - Steering Column Replacement

    Front Floor Console (3) - Remove - Front Floor Console Replacement

    Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Panel (1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Panel Replacement (Upper) Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Panel Replacement (Lower)

    Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

    Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Instrument Panel Airbag Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  14. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  15. Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

    Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel carrier. (1)

  17. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel carrier assembly from the vehicle. (1)
  18. Transfer components as necessary.
