Installation Procedure

Route the temperature control cable behind the instrument panel and the tie bar.
NOTE:
When installing the temperature control cable, do not twist the cable wire.

Insert the cable into the detent, move the cable barrel (3) back into the detent to secure the cable to the pulley, (2) to install the temperature control cable assembly (1) to the pulley.
Route the wire (2) around the temperature control cable pulley groove.
Insert the center wire (3) in the hole of pulley.
Upon re-assembly index the temperature valve gear (1) large female tooth to temperature control cable gear (2) large male tooth as indicated by the arrows for proper alignment.
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the temperature control cable retaining screw (1) and the temperature control cable (2) onto the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module and tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
