Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate S48 Multifunction Switch.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal and the ground terminal with the switch in the open position.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the appropriate S48 Multifunction Switch.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 2 Ω between the signal terminal and the ground terminal with the switch in the closed position.
    • If 2 Ω or greater 

      Replace the appropriate S48 Multifunction Switch.

    • Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω 
  4. All OK.
