Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front side door window rear guide. Refer to Front Side Door Window Rear Guide Replacement .
2. Remove the front side door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement . Do Not remove the lock completely from the door, lower the lock to disconnect the rod.

Procedure

1. Place the window in the full up position.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Transfer components as necessary.
4. Inorder to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, lock, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral lock clip to outside handle rod. Integral lock clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment .
