Installation Procedure

  1. GM3657238

    Front Brake Caliper (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  2. Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) @ Front Brake Caliper (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
  3. GM3657235

    Sealing Washer (2) - Install a NEW seal. [2x]

  4. remove the caps from the brake caliper opening and the brake hose.
  5. Brake Hose @ Front Brake Caliper (3) - Install
  6. Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (1) @ Front Brake Caliper (3) - Install and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
  7. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
  8. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel removal and Installation .
  9. remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  10. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
  11. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  12. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat step 11 and 12 until a firm brake pedal is obtained.
