Installation Procedure

For notchback 4 use the following steps:

Remove the retainer (3) and slide the battery negative cable back to the original position.

CAUTION:

Tighten the battery negative cable to rear floor panel nut (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

For hatchback 5 use the following steps:

Release the hook (3). Fold the latch against the arrow direction to open the battery negative cable terminal.

Battery Negative Cable - Connect
Install the battery negative cable to rear floor panel nut (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
Close the battery negative cable terminal cover (1).

Close the rear compartment floor panel trim.
Close the rear compartment lid.
Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off
Program the volatile memory. Volatile Memory Programming
Program all of the customer's radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
