Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

The green OnStar LED stays off when there is no OnStar subscription for the vehicle or when a remote diagnosis is being run. In these cases the LED can also not be turned on by using the control function.

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify no other DTCs are set.
    • Go to next step: If no DTC is set 
  3. Verify the component turns On and Off: With Scan Tool - Green Indicator Command - On and Off
    • If the component does not turn On and Off 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Green Indicator - Test

    • Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off 
  4. Verify the component turns On and Off: With Scan Tool - Red Indicator Command - On and Off
    • If the component does not turn On and Off 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing. - Red Indicator - Test

    • Go to next step: If the component turns On and Off 
  5. All OK.
