Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify DTC B124B is not set.
  2. Attempt audio playback from multiple USB devices when diagnosing USB concerns. Device compatibility can vary based on vehicle equipment. If the infotainment system is capable of operating any USB type device, the cause of the concern is not with the vehicle system. The inoperative device(s) may be incompatible or contain no recognized media types.
    • If the DTC is set 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  3. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode - Infotainment System State - ON
  4. Connect the special tool: EL-50334-20 Multi-Media Interface Tester - X83 Auxiliary Audio Input
  5. Verify the component works as specified: EL-50334-20 Multi-Media Interface Tester = Audio Tone
    • If the component does not work as specified 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the component works as specified 
  6. All OK.
