Circuit/System Verification

  1. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Observe the scan tool DC Charge Port Temperature parameter. The reading should be between -40 and +125° C (-40 and +257° F).
    NOTE:

    The DC Charge Port Temperature should be close to ambient temperature without the cord set plugged in.

    • The reading is not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: The reading is within the specified range 
  3. Vehicle OFF. Visually inspect the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle and high voltage cables for damage.
    NOTE:

    Damage can include cracks, breaks, bent pins or missing parts.

    • The receptacle or cables are damaged 

      Replace the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle.

    • Go to next step: The receptacle and cables are visually OK 
  4. Verify that DTC P301F does not set while operating the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
    • If the DTC is set 

      Advise the customer to report a problem with the DC fast charge station.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  5. All OK.
