Installation Procedure

Install the mode control cam (1) onto the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module, and install the defroster valve lever (2) pin to the outside mode control cam guide channel, and the vent valve lever (3) pin to the inside mode control cam guide channel.

Rotate the mode control cam (1) to the right and to the left. The defroster valve lever and vent valve lever pins should align with the inspection windows indicated by the arrows.

Mode Control Cam Actuator Sub-Lever - Vent Gear (2) - Install
Install the mode control cam actuator sub-lever - vent (3) and align the index tooth of the mode control cam actuator sub-lever - vent gear (2) to the index tooth of the mode control cam actuator sub-lever - vent (3) indicated by the arrow.
Install the mode control cam actuator sub-lever - vent (3) pin onto the mode control cam (1) guide channel indicated by the arrow.

Heater and Air Conditioning Mode Control Cam Cover (2)@Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module - Install

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Heater and Air Conditioning Mode Control Cam Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

Instrument Panel Tie Bar (2) - Install - Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement
Perform the actuator calibration procedure. Actuator Recalibration
Clear the DTCs.
