Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  2. Exhaust Front Muffler - Remove - Exhaust Front Muffler Replacement (LFY)
  3. GM4644493

    Disconnect the power transfer unit vent hose (1) from the power transfer unit and set aside.

  4. GM4843134

    Remove the engine wiring harness clip (1) from the engine block.

  5. Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt (2).
  6. GM4859669

    With the electrical connector connected, remove the crankshaft position sensor (1) from the engine.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the crankshaft position sensor.
  8. DISCARD the crankshaft position sensor seal (3).
