Removal Procedure

  1. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection - Disconnect
  2. GM4091290

    Remove the front compartment fuse block wiring harness supply cover (1).

  3. Remove the headlamp wiring harness nut (5).
  4. Remove the power steering wiring harness nut (4).
  5. Remove the battery positive cable bolt (3)
  6. Remove the generator and starter cable nut (2).

    NOTE:

    Bolts (1) are encapsulated on the end of threads so that they can not be removed from the fuse block.

    Remove the front compartment fuse block cover (1).

  8. Loosen the 3 front compartment fuse block bolts (2)
  9. GM3952940

    Unlock the 4 retaining tabs (3) and the retaining tab (2) in direction of arrow and remove the front compartment fuse block (1).
