Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. GM3319435

    Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and release the connector (1) from the front brake hose bracket.

  4. Release the wheel speed sensor harness from the front brake hose bracket clip (2).
  5. GM3319437

    Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bracket bolt (1) from the lower control arm.

  6. GM3319438

    Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bracket bolt (1) from the steering knuckle.

  7. Thoroughly clean the steering knuckle area surrounding the wheel speed sensor of any accumulated dirt and debris.
  8. GM3319440

    Remove the front wheel speed sensor bolt (1).

  9. Carefully pull the wheel speed sensor straight outward from the steering knuckle and remove the wheel speed sensor.
