Installation Procedure

  1. Install Battery (1)
    2. Fig 2: Battery Hold Down Retainers And Bolt

  2. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (3)
  3. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (1)
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install and tighten Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt (2) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
    5. Fig 3: Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block, Cover And Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut

  5. Install Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (3)
  6. Tighten Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)
  7. Install Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (2)
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
