Circuit/System Verification
- Verify fuse F23 is not open, Fuse Block - Underhood.
- If the fuse is open
Test the Run/Crank Ignition 1 voltage circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground .
- If the fuse is not open
- If the fuse is open
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Verify P0562 or P0563 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
Refer to DTC P0562 or P0563.
- If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- Engine running. Transmission in Park. Brake NOT applied.
- Verify while driving at low speed that the scan tool Transmission OSS parameter varies with actual vehicle speed and does not drop out.
- If the Transmission OSS does not vary with actual vehicle speed or drops out

- If the Transmission OSS does vary with actual vehicle speed and does not drop out
- If the Transmission OSS does not vary with actual vehicle speed or drops out
- Verify P0721 is only set as a history DTC.
- If the DTC is set as current

- If the DTC is set as history
- If the DTC is set as current
- Visually inspect each connector terminal of the B14A Output Shaft Speed Sensor connector and the K71 Transmission Control Module for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.NOTE: After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
