Installation Procedure

  1. Tilt passenger lower side of rear sliding window upwards and install passenger side rear sliding window cable end (1) to window guide (2).

    NOTE:

    If rear sliding window block is not properly installed, damage to rear sliding window regulator and cables may occur.

  2. Install passenger side rear sliding window block (1) by turning downwards and sliding on window guide.

    NOTE:

    Depress and hold both springs on the regulator to remove tension from cables before installing cable ends.

  3. Install drivers side rear sliding window cable end (1) to window guide (2).

    NOTE:

    If rear sliding window block is not properly installed, damage to rear window regulator and cables may occur.

  4. Install drivers side rear sliding window block (1) by turning downwards and sliding on window guide.

    NOTE:

    Be careful not to stress or break module clips while removing regulator cables.

  5. Carefully clip regulator cables (1) into 7 rear window module snaps (2).
  6. Install rear sliding window regulator clip (3) to frame.

    NOTE:

    When installing rear sliding window regulator (1), align gear to motor drive gear before installing screw.

  7. Install rear sliding window regulator (1) to module.
    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Install rear sliding window bolt (2) to module.

    Tighten 

    Tighten bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  9. Install rear sliding window center stop. Refer to Rear Sliding Window Replacement (Center Glass) .
  10. Cycle rear sliding window to fully closed position.
  11. Inspect rear sliding window for proper operation.
  12. Install rear window lower garnish molding. Refer to Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement (Crew Cab, Extended Cab)Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement (Regular Cab) .
  13. Rotate clip 180 degrees and close cover door on insulator pad.
  14. Install rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Removal and Installation (Extended Cab with AM7)Rear Seat Removal and Installation (Heavy Duty Crew Cab with A68)Rear Seat Removal and Installation (Light Duty Crew Cab with A68)Rear Seat Removal and Installation (Extended Cab with A68) .
  15. Clean the window, if necessary.
