Installation Procedure
- Before installation of the pressure and clutch driven plate, ensure that the locating dowel pins are secure in the flywheel, also ensure the self-adjusting system is reset if the clutch is re-used. For any new clutch DO NOT reset.
- If for any reason the vehicle is sensitive to driveline imbalance, it is possible to use the supplier paint marking on the parts to minimise the imbalance. The purple dot on the clutch cover indicates the direction of maximum imbalance and the flywheel has a pink dot in the direction opposite to maximum imbalance. Therefore if the two paint dots are positioned within 120 degrees (360 degrees/3 dowels) it will ensure the imbalance is a minimum.
- Apply a small amount of grease to clutch driven plate splines or transmission input shaft splines.
- Adjust the clutch pressure plate.
- Install the clutch driven plate (2) with the short boss facing the flywheel (1). Flywheel side is stamped on the clutch driven plate hub (FW Side).

- The special tool, DT-50538 uses different parts of the kit for different clutch variants. Use the appropriate parts of the kit, by identifying the clutch pressure plate and driven disc fitted to the vehicle. Failure to correctly identify the clutch type and use of the correct special tool components may lead to component damage.
Identify the clutch type to be fitted to the vehicle, and use the appropriate special tool or procedure to install the clutch pressure plate and driven disc.
