Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Bracket Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear parking assist alarm sensor. Refer to Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Replacement

Procedure

    NOTE:

    Do Not grind off alignment tabs.

  1. Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia.
  2. Clean Surface with Prepsol and wipe down with a clean rag.
  3. Spray on Loctite 770, (Polyolefin primer around surface), ensure full coverage of area to be glued.
  4. Apply structural adhesive epoxy, Loctite 435, to fascia at mating surface.
  5. Using the alignment tabs, or scribe line (where applicable), install the sensor bracket to the fascia.
  6. Apply pressure on the bracket for approximately. 20 seconds.
  7. Allow adhesive to cure for 24 hours before moving fascia.
