Front Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Bracket Replacement (Fascia)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to. Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
  2. Remove the advanced parking assist alarm sensor. Refer to Advanced Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Replacement .
1 Front Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Bracket

Procedure

  1. Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia.
  2. Clean Surface with Prepsol and wipe down with a clean towel.
  3. Spray on Loctite 770, (Polyolefin primer around surface), ensure full coverage of area to be glued.
  4. Apply structural adhesive epoxy, Loctite 435, to fascia at mating the surface.
  5. Using the alignment tabs or scribe line (where applicable), install the sensor bracket to the fascia.
  6. Apply pressure on the bracket for approximately 20 seconds.
  7. Allow adhesive to cure for 24 hours before moving the fascia.
NOTE:

Do Not grind off alignment tabs.
