Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the vacuum pump seal (1) with clean engine oil before installing the vacuum pump. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers

  2. Before continuing, make sure that the vacuum pump locating pins (1) are installed in the vacuum pump.

  3. Install the vacuum pump gasket (2) over the vacuum pump locating pins (1).
  4. Install the vacuum pump (1) and start the vacuum pump bolts (2) by hand.

  5. Tighten the vacuum pump bolts (2) to:
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    1. First Pass: 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  6. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube @ Throttle Body » Connect - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement 
  7. Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe @ Vacuum Pump Assembly - Install
