Installation Procedure

Install the exhaust front pipe into place and rotate the drivetrain and front suspension supports (3) over the exhaust front hanger bracket.
Loosely install the drivetrain and front suspension support fasteners (1).

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Using a NEW gasket, install the front pipe (2) to the catalytic converter and tighten the fasteners (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Using a NEW gasket, install the front pipe (2) to the catalytic converter and tighten the fasteners (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Using a NEW gasket, install the front pipe (2) to the exhaust muffler and tighten the fasteners (1) to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

CAUTION:

This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

Install NEW front drivetrain suspension support bolts (1) and tighten to 60 N.m (44 lb ft) plus 30 degrees.
Tighten the drivetrain and front suspension support bolts (2) to 160 N.m (118 lb ft).
Remove the mechanics wire and the drivetrain and front suspension support jack.
Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks.
