Installation Procedure

  1. Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

  2. Use a suitable strap to strap fuel tank to jack.
  3. Partially raise the fuel tank to connect the fuel tank fuel pump module connector.
  4. Install Fuel Tank
  5. Install Fuel Tank Strap [2x]

  6. Install Fuel Tank Strap Bolt [2x] and tighten 30 N.m. (22 lb ft)
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Remove strap holding fuel tank to jack.
  8. Connect Fuel Return Pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  9. Connect Fuel Feed Pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  10. Connect Auxiliary Fuel Feed and Return Pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  11. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose.

  12. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp and tighten 4 N.m. (35 lb in)
  13. Connect Fuel Tank Filler Vent Hose Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  14. Refill the fuel tank.
  15. Inspect for fuel leaks.
