Installation Procedure

  1. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor

    CAUTION:

    Do not allow the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring to come into contact with external magnetic fields or sharp metal objects. Do not drop the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring. Do not damage the rubberized encoder track. Failure to follow these precautions may cause damage to the component.

  2. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt and tighten 5 N.m. (44 lb in)
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket
  4. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket Bolt and tighten 9 N.m. (80 lb in)

  5. Install Electrical Connector @ Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket
  6. Connect Engine Wiring Harness @ Electrical Connector - Connect
  7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  8. Perform the crankshaft position variation learn. Refer to Crankshaft Position Variation Learn
