Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Fig 1: Retaining Tab On Battery Fuse Box Cover

  3. Unlock the retaining tab on the battery fuse box cover (1).
  4. Use a suitable screwdriver to unlock the clip through the window.
  5. Remove the battery fuse box cover.

    NOTE:

    Pull the battery fuse box housing. DO NOT pull the flap.

  7. Remove the positive battery cable to starter nut (1).
  8. Remove the positive battery cable to starter (2) from the battery.
  9. Remove Battery to Fuse Block Cable. Refer to Battery to Fuse Block Cable Replacement

  11. Remove 7 body wiring harness nuts (1) and the body wiring harness.
  12. Remove Fuse Block (2)
