Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Install the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor (2) to fuel injection fuel rail (3) and hand tighten.
- Remove Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor(1) @Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly(3)
- Re-lubricate with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor(1) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector (2).
- Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
- Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds
- Turn OFF the ignition. for 10 seconds.
- Ignition On, engine Off.
- Inspect for fuel leaks, using tissue paper or hydrocarbon sniffer.
- Start vehicle and re-inspect for fuel leaks with engine at idle.
- Re-inspect for fuel leaks with engine at 3, 000 rpm no load.
- Install Engine Sight Shield Replacement
- Connect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

NOTE:
Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.
NOTE:
Ensure that the fuel rail threads have been cleaned of any excess fuel, or the NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.
